SERGI CANOS AGREES MOVE TO LIVERPOOL FROM BARCELONA
Liverpool are wrapping up a deal for Barcelona striker Sergi Canos.

The teenager is moving to England as a free agent after turning down pro terms at La Masia.

Liverpool will pay Canos an initial salary of €38,000 - which is twice what Barca tabled. The young forward chose the Reds ahead of enquiries from Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea

Piazon is not in Malaga, back to Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing
Output Pellegrini cooled chance to stay in Spain. Player is restating the Blues, but Reds could make a bid for Brazilian

The fate of the Brazilian striker Lucas Piazón should even be England. With the departure of Manuel Pellegrini's Malaga have confirmed, the Spanish club should no longer insist on buying, or even to extend the loan of the player, and it will restate to Chelsea on July 5.
However, as the Blues have not defined who will be his coach next season (Rafa Benítez is interim and will not continue, José Mourinho has been the name most talked about by the press), the board still does not know if the attacker created by Sao Paulo will continue.
In recent days came an interest in Liverpool. The Reds were excited about the success of Philippe Coutinho, and could bet on another young brazuca. Their own actions on the basis of Piazon Chelsea had drawn attention.
Piazon came to Chelsea still in the youth, came to have opportunities in the first team and was loaned earlier this year to Malaga.

Martin Skrtel admits he may move on after 'worst Liverpool season'

Andy Hunter

Martin Skrtel has confirmed he would consider leaving Liverpool this summer having endured "one of the worst seasons in my career".

Brendan Rodgers is looking to sign two central defenders having lost Jamie Carragher to retirement and been unconvinced by Sebastián Coates. The Liverpool manager has stated that Skrtel remains in his plans but, following a testing campaign when he lost his first-team place and attracted criticism from Rodgers, the Slovakia international has admitted his Anfield future is in doubt.

Skrtel said: "I have not had any specific offers but if some should come and they interest me, I would probably consider it seriously. The club has the biggest say in this in any case, because they have the right for it with me being contracted. I am not saying that I want to leave at any cost. I feel sorry for what happened in this season. But I have been here for five and a half years and I have built a position here."

The 28-year-old was dropped following the Premier League defeat at Manchester United in January and suffered a miserable recall in the FA Cup exit at League One Oldham Athletic a fortnight later.

Skrtel added: "It was one of the worst seasons in my career and certainly the worst during my time at Liverpool. After the game at Manchester United, the coach decided he wanted to change the team and justified to me that we lacked the organisation and defensive leadership personality. That was Carragher.

"Obviously I was not happy, it bugged me. On the other hand, I realise that only 11 can play and the 11 the coach chooses now is without me. I decided to add even more in training, so I was ready for a chance to show that I belong on the field, and not on the pitch."

Rodgers has lined up Kolo Touré as a free signing once his contract expires at Manchester City this summer while Schalke's Greece international Kyriakos Papadopoulos is Liverpool's leading defensive target.

The defender Danny Wilson has signed a three-year contract with Hearts, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, following his release at Anfield

Let not be too downbeat about this.... he is coming in on a free on significantly less wages than Carra whom he is replacing in the squad as cover for CB. The rest of Carraghers wages will then prob fund the wages for the greek lad. Im happy enough about this as long as he has left the wifes slimming tablets at home Smile

Read the bottom about the Greek lad, Ive heard a rumour its a done deal. We need our defence sorting out and im delighted the business is being done nice and early, unless Downing goes we are ok in the offensive department, maybe a left back now too.

6.30PM UPDATE: Liverpool FC agree fee for Spanish striker Iago Aspas
29 May 2013 18:23
£7.7m will see the Ceta Vigo forward at Anfield next season

Iago Aspas
Liverpool FC have agreed a fee of 9million euros (£7.7million) with Celta Vigo for the transfer of forward Iago Aspas.

The 25-year-old Spaniard has scored 12 goals in 33 appearances in La Liga this season. The ECHO revealed last weekend that the Reds had opened talks about a move to Anfield and the negotiations have reached a swift conclusion.

Aspas will remain with relegation-threatened Celta for their crunch final game of the campaign at home to Espanyol on Saturday.

They must win in order to have any chance of staying up. He is then expected to fly to Merseyside next week to discuss personal terms and under a medical.

Aspas had a buyout clause of 10 million euros (£8.5million) which would have dropped to 7million euros if Celta went down.

However, with the likes of Valencia and Swansea City also chasing him, Liverpool moved quickly to secure his services. Equally at home leading the line, playing as a second striker or in a wider role, his versatility makes him a good fit for Brendan Rodgers' system.

The manager had wanted a fourth striking option to complement Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Fabio Borini and improve the depth of his squad.

Livepool have had the 5ft 9ins frontman, who is a product of Celta Vigo’s Academy, watched frequently this season and the reports have been glowing.

He netted a career-best 29 goals to help Celta win promotion back to Spain's top flight in 2011/12.This season he has been the star performer in a struggling side with six assists to go with his 12 league goals.

Blessed with good pace and fiercely committed, he is also a clinical finisher.

Liverpool FC declined to comment on reports a fee for Aspas had been agreed.
