Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
He was on the radar before Suarez wanted out. He is more an attacking MF than a striker.
Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
Heard earlier that Monaco approached him.
Also, Werner apparently said that we are going to spend a lot this summer and Suarez is free to leave if he wishes as he is a big child around Melwood

Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
Frustration for Liverpool as Iago Aspas' move is delayed by agents' wrangle
7 Jun 2013 22:30
Kop discover they were talking to wrong people about Celta Vigo forward - but the transfer IS still expected to happen
Liverpool’s chase of Iago Aspas is STILL not complete, and a contractual dispute has threatened to derail the whole deal.
The Reds discovered on Friday that the agents with whom they had been negotiating Aspas’ transfer from Celta Vigo were not his contracted representatives.
The revelation lead to frantic phone calls between the Anfield giants' managing director Ian Ayre, Celta and Aspas’ official agent - with whom he has a contract until 2014.
Contrary to reports elsewhere, we can reveal that no deal has been struck between the clubs for the Spanish forward, but it is a question of days until an agreement is reached.
The deal is, however, likely to be held up by legal wranglings with the other agents possessing an authorisation document signed by the player in an attempt to hurry through his dream move to Merseyside.
All sides are keen to avoid a drawn-out legal saga, especially Liverpool, who want to get their summer transfer business done early - Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori is expected to sign next week.
Aspas' official agent has the backing of the Spanish football federation and Celta themselves.
With Liverpool now speaking to him directly, an accord should be struck by next weekend - provided the other agents agree to withdraw their claim to any proceeds from the move.

Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
Oussama Assaidi will be the next player to leave Liverpool Football Club. [via The Echo]
This is a strange one for me. I thought he showed great promise and would be one for the future Rumours he loves to party add up to lack of game time too.

Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
I was impressed with him tbh.
Maybe he dont suit Rodgers game as he seems to be a wingers winger, as in get chalk on his boots. That's all I can think of from a footballer point of view

Re: LFC Transfer Rumours
Update on Iago Aspas. The player has returned to Spain. Told Radio Galego: "I am happy, but won't speak until (the move) is official."
Aspas brother (and agent) Jonathan, said: “There is not trouble. Just bureaucratic issues” #LFC

Liverpool have tonight agreed a deal in principle with Celta Vigo for striker Iago Aspas, subject to documentation being completed.
Aspas scored 12 goals in 34 games in 2012-13 despite playing in a side threatened with relegation until the final day of the season.
During the campaign he was directly involved in 51 per cent of his team's goals.
The 25-year-old broke into the senior side at the Spanish outfit in 2009 after graduating from their youth set-up.
Aspas can play through the middle or out wide and he could become Brendan Rodgers's second signing of the summer transfer window following a deal for Kolo Toure.

As is advancing STADIUM in recent weeks, the harmony between Luis Alberto, Seville and Liverpool for the transfer of midfielder to Anfield was evident, the willingness of all parties was optimal and finally this afternoon has reached the understanding hundred hundred.
Thus, this medium can advance them that the agreement is fully closed . Sevilla Liverpool pay eight million euros for the player of San José del Valle over less than two kilos in concept variables . The fact is that Sevilla Luis Alberto sells for just under ten million euros, a figure quite generous in this day and age for a player than last year on loan at Barcelona B, which eventually failed to exercise the right to purchase 3.8 million by the player. Now Sevilla will take more than doubled.
Luis Alberto signed for four or five seasons in the coming days with Liverpool , who hopes to officially handover early next week, once the player his signature on a new contract, the last step to initial an agreement and completely closed.
Looks like another one's in the bag
