Adam for Shelvey, Maxi for Kuyt.
Not sure if Gerrard will start.
Could be a magical game with drama and plenty of goals and we nick it.
Could start us off on a goal scoring spree and no better game to start.

Think if we are starting Carroll its imperative that Downing starts, would also severely doubt Gerrard being fit to start a game yet.

Barnes do we need Spearing at home against these ?

Well from what ive seen lately Henderson and Adam seem restricted without a DM in the team, almost as if they are afraid to burst forward this will allow them more freedom in my opinion and let them do their best work in the final third.

I'd prefer Maxi to be in the team ahead of him.
Carroll will be focus point, and like Kuyt, Maxi will find space in the box waiting for something to fall to him. I'd have Maxi in ahead of Kuyt at the minute

Need Spearing in there against Tiote and Cabaye because I think they would over-run Henderson/Adam combo.

Don't see Spearing doing anything that Adam or Henderson wouldn't do. I know your taking into concideration allowing them more freedom, but I just don't fancy Henderson on the right

Picked it up a bit after they scored, still not utilising Carroll enough from the wide positions

is it me are is our players don't want to cross the ball into Carroll cause they know he won't get anywhere near it.

I think its more to do with the way we have been playing without him in the team.

Chris they train with the guy so they know wot he is about.
