Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
No Gerrard or Agger so:
Hard working midfield with Adam pushed farther up the pitch (he's at his best 40ish yards from goal w/no defensive responsibilities). Downing deserves start after last Sunday. Kuyt provides cover on the right should Johnson venture forward as he usually does.
2-1 to us, close game.

Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Carroll will start imo, Kuyt and Downing played midweek, I can even see Maxi starting tomorrow
Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Kuyt and Downing played midweek, yeah. So did Skrtel/Henderson. They can start.
We have to play three in midfield to take on their three or we'll be overrun. Kuyt and Johnson will give Gibbs a handful on that side.
Basically a 4-5-1 and that means one striker. With Vermalen possibly out, no doubt Suarez should be in there. Have Carroll come on second half.

Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Yeah but Henderson didnt play last Sunday and has youth on his side compared to Kuyt and Downing.....Skrtel is undroppable at the minute.
Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
...um no, actually Henderson played 60min on Sunday. Kuyt is a tank and would want to start after the disappointment of coming off the bench on Sunday (only played 18is min on Sunday btw). Downing only played 25min against Holland. They can start.

Really.....could have fooled me!!!
Too easy Sean
Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
How many minutes did Kuyt play during the week ?
He may be a tank, but constantly needs to be refilled. Energy levels are by no means the same as last year.
He is always good for a goal against Arsenal

Skrtel is undropable, best defender available.
He will play lcb with carra in, and I'm not sure he feels comfortable there

Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Well aside from Kelly got the lineup right. It's kicking major ass in the attacking sense, just the typical ton of chances that we can't score issue. RvP was bound to get a goal.
Let's push on and win this shit 2nd half!

Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Same old Liverpool numerous chances = very few goals= frustrating scorelines. We had the chance in January window to buy a Striker but did not avail of that.Last week we just scraped past Cardiff to win Cup and this week Arsenal game should have been wrapped up well before their 2nd,Champions League Football is a no go this season.

Average team average squad.
Carroll should have started but I didn't see a tap to know if debutant played good.
Why was there 8 mins injury time

Re: Liverpool V Arsenal
Don't see it mentioned but Kellys head went up his Arse as soon as he missed that chance, his confidence was shot, he played 3 or 4 sloppy passes after it. Downing should have hit penalty and as mentioned above Carra was shocking for RVPs header. Adams passing was poor he could have slipped Henderson in at one stage in 2nd half. Thought spearing had a good game.
