Kinda agree, as I questioned earlier today whether Coutinho was second choice to Ince. Can only hope not.
Joe, we should be winning that game regardless

Game against Saints will be a really tough one but yes i agree we really should be winning it.

Ill tell you what I do like though, the offensive side of the team seems to be sorted there is no need to tinker with it in the Summer. On the other side of the coin we need to buy 2 top CBs, 1 to replace Carragher and the other to replace Skrtel because he was very outspoken last week I think his days are numbered here. Ive no confidence in Jones either.

What about Coates?
Did you see Jones Lockout in second half, Gerrard was about ten yards inside our half , turned and looked at him and shrugged as to say 'what are you doing'.
I also think Carra has to take some responsibility for their first goal

If Rodgers fancied Coates he would have had more game time by now, I honestly dont think he has the pace for PL football. He should have been loaned out in Jan.

Then I think we need 3, that's why I mentioned Coates when you said two CB's, unless he is going to play Wisdom(far from ready for first team) or Kelly(totally unreliable and will take a few years before his injuries settle down I think) as third/fourth choice cb.

The 3rd will be a kid to develop there is no way 3 "good" CBs would come to us. They see Kelly as a CB anyway and he must be well ahead in recovery or they wouldnt have tied him to a long contract like they did.

Aye, but could he string 11 games together or be relied on for that. I do believe this is Aggers longest spell without an injury.

If we play our cards correct, we could do what Houllier done and sign two keepers on same day without each of them knowing lol!

Just read something I never considered by Tony Barrett:

He's adapting to a new way of playing six months after everyone else. He's also got nowhere to hide in this system because he's the fulcrum of it. Give it time and he'll get used to it as others have done.

It's true that he is more open and more focal point for opposition attacks as our wings are fairly robust , just think an awful lot is been asked of him after such lengthy layoffs and a break may do him well, although no midweek footie now.
