what will I gain going with the later? Is there a need for the extra expense?

Ipad1 and Ipad2 both have wifi+3G models. 3G means you can basically use it anywhere (a bit like a phone) while wifi means you need to be at a wifi spot (close to a modem). There are so many wifi spots around to use it and I use mine mostly at home that the 3G is a bit unneccesary. I was using my wifi iPad in the hotel lobby and sitting outside a bar on holiday I just asked the receptionist/barman for the network password.

nope, TNT told me Apple were aware of the situation

I rang Apple, they didnt

Gave them the shhhpeeeeel about needing it for our comp (which I do) That it was on next week (which it isnt) that we already had posters printed, slot on student radio (we haven't and we don't)

Have to say the guy was lovely, told me he would launch an investigation and get bk to me

He did within 4 hrs, said they would deal with TNT and get compo but I would have another IPAD fast couriered within 3 working days and he would also put in an application for a free smart cover for it which would be here within the week 9which of course I am keeping for my IPAD

Well impressed with their customer service I must say
