Season review

Strange season with all the upheaval in the club during the Summer, how do you all view the season? What are your opinions on Rodgers? What should we realistically be looking to do next season?

Highs: This is a tough one, very few highs for me except for the signing of Coutinho and Sturridge. Coutinho could be a real gem next year. The goal return of Suarez would be another high point. Some of the football we played in the 2nd half of the season was superb but.........(and not to be a negative head) the pressure was off we had nothing to play for id like to see what we are like when we arent out of everything by Feb. I suppose for me personally another high point is no EL next season.

Lows: The way the owners left us with only Suarez in the striking dept until Jan. The behaviour of Suarez bringing shame on the club again just when everyone was taking to him because of the super footballer he is. The FA cup defeat to Oldham.....It probably showed up Rodgers' naivety. Joe Allens form is another low point for me too.

We need to get rid of a few in the Summer because i dont think we are too far away from top 4 and the outs should be able to finance 2/3 decent signings.

Out: Carra,Carroll, Pacheco, Spearing, Morgan,Flanagan,Wilson, Coates.

Maybe: Skrtel and Shelvey.

Gotta be about £40mill there and whatever Brendan himself gets from the owners to spend.......£20mill?

Need 2 CBs and a defensive midfielder. Im just hoping we dont need a new Keeper but if we got rid of that shite and had 60mill to buy those we need and maybe a couple of squad players we could be challenging for top 4 next year because 3 of this years top 4 will be under new management next year and who is to say it will all go smoothly for all 3 of them?

Yeah I agree position is more important. Im just posting it up for debate im not saying its great or anything otherwise I would have said Rafa also got a CL win in his 1st season.

Im not dissing your post atal either . Just think both need to come together.
I'm really confused on my view of this season tbh

our final league position prob about right.need to be able to preform at a more consistent level if we are to compete for a top 4 spot.need a new centre half,a left back,ball winning midfielder and a top class striker.

Don't have the mental strength or will to write a detailed post on season.
Bar Suarez and Jan signings nothing has been too good.
We finished where we deserved, hope valuable lessons were learned.
