Re: General football chat
Troy is a brand new magician in Britain who has managed to get a TV show on channel 4, and the promo for the new series centres on a scene before the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham.
Troy comes face to face with a group of Arsenal supporters to discuss just how long they’ve supported the Gunners and to discover what it would take for them to wear a Tottenham short.
With the fans proud of their hatred for Spurs, one Arsenal fan had his shirt magically ruined by Troy as he replaced the Gunners badge on his jersey with a Tottenham crest.
Unhappy, the Arsenal fan removed his shirt leaving himself bare chested at the pub.
See the brilliant piece of magic below.

Re: General football chat
Fulham Football Club today announced the hiring of Felix Magath as First Team Manager, effective immediately.
The announcement was made jointly by Chairman Shahid Khan and CEO Alistair Mackintosh. Magath receives an 18-month contract. An announcement on the Fulham backroom staff will be made in the near future.
Statement from Shahid Khan
“I am very happy to welcome Felix Magath to Fulham Football Club. Felix is an accomplished manager with multiple honours in the Bundesliga and a hunger to replicate his success with Fulham in the Barclays Premier League. I’m especially impressed with the reputation Felix has for coming into clubs at difficult times, often late in the season, and lifting them to their potential and beyond. Felix knows that is precisely the task awaiting him at Fulham, and he made it abundantly clear that he wants and is ready for the opportunity.
“Our Club has shown promise in recent matches, but the fact is we have not won a league match since January 1. Given our form, we can no longer merely hope that our fortunes will finally turn. And with 12 matches remaining and at least four points separating us from safety, we certainly can no longer post empty results. Action was required.
“Alistair Mackintosh did a wonderful job during the January transfer window to improve our Club. This week, Alistair recommended Felix, with his history of producing results for Clubs with similar challenges as ours, as the new manager of Fulham. Alistair’s recommendation received my complete approval and Felix has my unequivocal support.”
Statement from Alistair Mackintosh
“The opportunity to bring in a manager with the experience of Felix Magath would typically be unlikely at this point in the season. However, Felix relishes this challenge. He is very impressed with our squad and commitment by Mr. Khan, and his confidence is precisely what we need over these final three months of the season. I thank Mr. Khan for his support and we are all looking forward to welcoming Felix to Fulham.”

Re: General football chat
Nice touch
Shakhtar Donetsk have announced that they will pay the rest of their deceased striker Maicon Pereira de Oliveira’s contract to his family after the 25-year-old Brazilian tragically died in a car crash last month
Shakhtar CEO Sergie Palkin made the announcement at a forum with supporters of the club yesterday when asked what steps Shakhtar would take following Maicon’s death.
“The contract with Maicon was valid through mid-2015,” he said at the Q&A session.
“From a legal point of view, in such situations [the contract would normally expire], but Maicon has had a 7-year-old daughter and quite elderly parents left.”
“Therefore, the president of the club decided to hand his family the amount stipulated by the contract, in full, to support his family at this difficult time.”
Maicon joined Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer in the summer of 2012, but made just six appearances for the club after a couple of loan moves to Zorya Luhansk and Illichivets Mariupol.

Re: General football chat
A deal for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic to join Inter Milan is almost complete, with Inter chief Erick Thohir claiming the deal is 90% finalised.
The Man United captain is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer, and it seems this will almost certainly be his last season at the club.
