Re: Luis Suarez
Hello everyone, first of all I would like to thank greatly the support I have received these past few weeks. My family, friends, co-workers of selection and all its technical staff and of course, to the Liverpool (workers, technical and staff, managers, colleagues and anyone who is part of the daily life of this great club), and of course to all the fans who have not left that I feel only a single second. These days I've felt more than ever the significance: You never walk alone.
As many of you know I was born into a humble family in a worker suburb of a small country. But I was born and grew up from the values of respect, education, and sacrifice. From my family, going through the first club where I started to play until my jump to Europe in the Netherlands, have instilled me values that have marked the person I am today. Never, I repeat never, I have had a racial problem with any partner, or person of colour or race different from mine. Ever.
I am very angry at what has been said are weeks on me, all of which are very far from reality. But above all by the helplessness felt by not doing anything and be accused of something that I did, or would never do. In my country, black, is an expression we use commonly and symbolizing no lack of respect for and even less racism. What has been said from this is completely false.
I will comply the sanction with the resignation of someone who hasn't done anything and it feels extremely angered by what has happened. Sorry for the fans and colleagues that I will not be able to help in this next month. It will be very hard.
The only thing I hope now is to go to the stadium and do what I like best again, that is, to play football again.
Thank you very much everyone, YNWA Luis Alberto Suárez.

The thing is though this wasn't a court case it was in front of an "independent" committee, Kinda like a work disciplinary hearing.

Re: Luis Suarez
LUIS SUAREZ’S black international pal Alvaro Pereira has warned Patrice Evra he will have to wear body armour when France meet Uruguay in a friendly later this year.
There is uproar in South America over the Liverpool man’s eight-match ban, and the clash between Evra’s country and Uruguay in August threatens to become an all-out war.
FC Porto’s Pereira said: “Evra is going to have to wear body armour. If I ’m called negro, I laugh. But now it’s a crime to say something on the pitch.
“If this happened in South America, they’d have to suspend everyone. I think Man United tried to take advantage of this situation and prevent one of Liverpool’s best players from playing. That’s sad.”
